Our environmental guides are very expert and qualify also for canyoning, speleological exploration, climbing, trekking, rafting, snowshoeing and excursions through the National Parks in Calabria.
Francesco, has worked as an environmental guide since 1995, taking adult groups, experienced hikers, nature lovers and school groups in natural areas, along paths of the Sila and Pollino National Park, along the Paolana coastside (on the Tyrrenian Sea) and organizes speleological explorations, e.g. into Saint Angel Caves in Cassano (about 1 hour far from Cosenza). He is specialized in environmental education activities and the Orienteering (the Sport of Woods). He’s a member of AIGAE – Italian Association of Environmental and Walking Guides, an authorized guide of the Pollino National Park and manages a B&B in Mendicino.
Mimmo has started as hiker guide since 1993. He is a member of CAI – Italian Alpine Club in Longobucco and AIGAE – Italian Association of Environmental and Walking Guides. He works for adult and school groups, in German and Italian language too, especially in the Sila National Park area and he has been qualified for canyoning and Cross Country Skiing, donkey trekking. He manages La Casa dell’Escursionista (The Hiker’s Home) at Longobucco, a little village in the heart of Sila National Park.
Eduardo, has graduated in Modern Literature and loves nature photography. He is an official guide for the Sila National Park and member of AIGAE – Italian Association of Environmental and Walking Guides. He has worked since 2000 for adult and student groups especially in the mountain area with trekking excursions and by snowshoes. He has taken a qualify as Regional Guide in Calabria, taking also groups for cultural sightseeing to the main historical centres, in particular near Cosenza. He manages a B&B in a mountain house at the Sila National Park not so far from Monte Scuro.
Domenico has worked as environmental guide since 1995 and is an expert of Arbëresh culture, particularly in Frascineto, a village where Albanian traditions and language are still alive. He is an official guide of Pollino National Park so he takes adult and school groups along paths in the Park, into caves and he does bird watching activities, canyoning and climbing. He’s also a member of AIGAE – Italian Association of Environmental and Walking Guides.
Sara has been working as environmental guide since 2007, lover of nature and anthropology, especially along the high Tyrrenian Coast of Calabria. She takes individuals and groups along routes and villages in the Pollino and Sila National Park, in the historical centres of the high Tyrrenian Coast of Calabria and in some areas of the Aspromonte National Park. She is a a member of AIGAE – Italian Association of Environmental and Walking Guides and a volunteer in the National Mountain Rescue and assistant instructor of the Company Caving Italian. Finally she works with school groups teaching environmental education.
