It’s a pilgrim walk and for lovers of trekking with enviromental guides: the trip is along the roads which join little villages and once were beaten by Saint Francis of Paola, the Patron of Calabria and the fishermen.
Day 1 Paola-Paterno-Cerisano (13,55 miles, 8 hours)
Meeting at Paola and departure to Paterno by coach: guided visit of the Sanctuary of St. Francis. Then continue on foot on the paths surrounded by nature until Carolei, the second hamlet. Packed lunch. Another walking to Cerisano and sightseeing of the place. Dinner at restaurant and overnight at B&B.
Day 2 Cerisano-San Fili (11,7 miles, 7 hours)
Breakfast. Departure on foot to the second stage of the walking. Stop for to have packed lunch. Continue the trip to San Fili and visit of the hamlet. Dinner at restaurant and overnight at B&B.
Day 3 San Fili-Paola (13,36 miles, 8 hours)
Breakfast. Departure to the last stage. Packed lunch and continue to the Sanctuary in Paola, the main one. Delivery of the Testimonium, a document stamped by the St. Francis’ Minimi Order which proofs that you have made the pilgrimage.
