A new way to do trekking.

Trekking by donkeys in the Greek Sila along a mule track which is surrounded by chestnut woods. The route starts from the main square of Longobucco, a village near Cosenza on the mountains, reaching the "the Englishman’s Route" so called because of the writer Norman Douglas who walked along it in the 800s and described it in his book "Old Calabria". The Englishman’s Route is reach of breathtaking views from the mountains until the Ionian Sea. This trekking excursion with our expert environmental guide has got a duration of 3 or 4 hours and it’s very easy, suitable for everyone, children too.

A day tour on the mountain.

Departure in the morning starting from the main square of Longobucco, a little hamlet on the mountains in Sila National Park. Then we reach the green area by walking along a circular route. The duration is 3 or 4 hours and is accessible to all people (good for children, too). A stop for have a little cold lunch and for giving time to the donkey to relax themselves. Usually you don't go on the back of the donkey, because they can sustain maximum 40 kg. At the end of the walk you arrive to the starting point.
